Needham, MA-December 1, 2006-36 year old Nikki Walsh has just been appointed President of PK Walsh- a leading hair solution company for women.
As a child growing up in Worcester and Brookline, MA, Nikki watched her mom, Kathy Walsh, begin her company literally on her kitchen table. Kathy has spent the last two decades growing the company into a nationally recognized hair solution company, and will now take on a more advisory role. Today she is excited to announce that Nikki will be taking over the reigns and continuing the tradition of offering hair solutions for women suffering from thinning hair.
In 1986 Nikki's high school was one of the first to be invited to tour China. After spending a summer in China, Nikki mastered the language and learned a great deal about Marketing and International Relations. After high school, Nikki attended the University of Mass and studied Chinese as well as International Marketing.
After college, Nikki decided she wanted to join PK Walsh. Kathy was delighted to have Nikki get involved, though had one condition, Nikki had to learn the company from ground up and attend beauty school. Therefore, she would have both the business and practical experience for her future in the hair replacement industry.
Nikki excelled in beauty school and in 1993 joined PK Walsh. From washing
hair to ordering hair pieces, Nikki was able to learn all aspects of the company.
Today PK Walsh is the leading hair solution company for women in the North
East. Nikki has spent the last five years as General Manager, and today is
the new President of PK Walsh. At 36 years of age, Nikki is one of the youngest
leaders in this competitive hair replacement industry. In her private time
Nikki is an active member of the Northeastern University Center for Family
Business, as well as being a member in the exclusive Transitions International,
an exclusive marketing group of hair replacement specialists. She also spends
a great deal of time traveling across the country seeking the finest hair solutions
for women.
Both Nikki and her mother Kathy suffer from thinning hair and know too well the emotional effect losing your hair can have on women. Today, Nikki hopes to carry on the tradition of empowering women and helping them to live more confident lives.
Nikki resides in Norwood MA and spends her spare time with her husband and two children. She enjoys fishing, boating, and yes... even getting her hair wet.
